Containing world premiere recordings, Philippe Grisvard continues his exploration of Alessandro Scarlatti’s cantatas, this time with soprano Emmanuelle De Negri. Building on the first instalment, this sequel gathers rarities and surprises, ranging from luminous early pastorals to dramatic, character-driven pieces, each chosen to reveal new expressive contours of Scarlatti’s writing. Together the performers offer incisive, imaginative readings that bring these concise, emotionally charged works vividly to life.
